Our Services
Treating Acne
Destroying acne at its source.
Acne is common, frustrating, at times, scarring. Conventional treatment options are often ineffective, costly, and accompanied by negative side effects. Topical applications, like ointments and creams, irritate the skin and are minimally successful in reducing acne bacteria. Acne drugs, such as antibiotics and Accutane, have been linked to potentially serious side effects.
AFT pulsed light can effectively clear moderate inflammatory acne within one month. AFT can yield quick, impressive results with minimal pain and no side effects. Targeting the inflamed sebaceous gland, AFT works quickly and thoroughly to kill acne bacteria faster than it can spread.
Botox®
Botox® has been licensed in Canada since 1990 as a safe and effective treatment for a number of disorders caused by overactive muscles. In 2001, Health Canada approved botulinum toxin type A for the treatment of frown lines. Botulinum produces a protein that blocks the transmission of signals from nerves to muscles. Botox® is extremely safe when used at recommended doses by skilled physicians.
Botox’s use in cosmetic procedures has expanded greatly in the last several years. It is effective in smoothing out horizontal lines in the forehead, crow’s feet, mouth frown, dimpled chins, and lines on the neck. It can be used to lift the brow and shape eyebrows, widen the eyes to produce a more rounded look, shape the jaw and sides of the face, and to balance asymmetrical features.
Botox® is also used for medical conditions such as anal fissures, migraine headaches, back and neck pain, hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating), and muscle spasms.
Dermal Fillers
Loss of volume is a key sign of aging. Dermal fillers, such as Juvederm®, Restylane®, Teosyal®, and Esthelis®, restore volume to the skin.
Treatment with dermal fillers is quick and safe. The effects are long lasting, but not permanent. You have have the flexibility to keep the same look or make changes over time.
Most dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid, a natural substance already present in the human body, that plays an important role in giving firmness to skin, shape to the eyes, and lubrication to the joints. Hylauronic acid attracts and binds water molecules that help maintain skin volume.
Dermal fillers have multiple purposes including eliminating tiny lines and enhancing facial contours. They can be used to diminish horizontal lines and wrinkles across the forehead, hide vertical lines between the eyebrows, add fullness to the lips and reduce the hollowness in the cheeks. Dermal fillers can lift the eyebrows and shape the chin, as well as adding definition to the jawline.
Permanent Hair Reduction
No more shaving, waxing or tweezing
Unwanted hair can be treated with quick and safe bursts of light. With no downtime, you can continue with all of your regular activities immediately after treatment. This non-invasive treatment will permanently reduce hair anywhere on the body.
Using AFT pulsed light, hair follicles are selectively treated, leaving surrounding tissue untouched. Hairs are removed without causing irritation, and the chances of scarring or pigmentation are very rare.
The pigment (melanin) within the hair absorbs the light from the laser and coverts it into heat. The heat is transmitted into the hair follicle without damaging the skin, and destroys the follicle so that new hair cannot be produced.
Unlike electrolysis, AFT pulsed light does not uses needles and treats numerous hair follicles at once. It is significantly faster and less painful than waxing and electolysis, and the results are permanent.

Skin Rejuvenation
Treating Vascular and Pigmented Lesions
Erase unwanted marks.
Vascular and pigmented lesions are ideal candidates for non-invasive AFT pulsed light treatments. Vascular lesions such as port wine stains, telangiectasias, hemangiomas, erythema, rosacea, poikiloderma of Civette can safely and effectively treated with AFT pulsed light.
Pigmented lesions like lentigos, seborrheic keratoses, café-au-lait, ephelides and dyschromi can also be treated.
Before each treatment, a cold gel is applied to the skin surface area. Then, precise pulses of light are delivered to the target area. By selectively heating and closing off blood vessels, AFT pulsed light reduced the spots while preserving the surrounding skin and tissue from injury.
With pigmented (coloured) spots, the light energy heats and causes it to fragment. These fragments are subsequently absorbed and eliminated by the body.
